We live in Buy Propecia Texas. I need the forms to file with the court so that my husband can adopt my daughter. My ex-husband is willing to sign over his rights, so I really don’t want to pay an attorney if we don’t have to. Thanks!

I said it before and I will say it again, step parent adoption is unnecessary. Your husband is probably very important to your daughter, and can raise her, but he is not her biological father. A step-father is still a father. She doesn’t need a piece of paper to love him. She has the right to keep her history intact. Maybe someday she will want a relationship with her biological father and/or his family, maybe she won’t. Don’t deny her the chance to know all about her biological roots. I was adopted, it should not be taken lightly.
You can probably get them direct from the court. But most courts will require the parties to be represented by an attorney. Just call the clerk and ask.
perhaps from the court but I would almost bet you’d need an attorney as in most states a homestudy is neccessary even for step parent adoption. They have to do background checks and all on your new husband.
i think you can go to the court house. thats how my dad adopted me.
