What would happen if the south won the Civil war?

In school (that I hate) we been learning about the civil Alli war about the north and the south I been thinking what would happen if the south won the war will the nation will be in two?
There probably would have been a US and a Confederate States, at least for a while. What would happen past that point is anyone’s guess.

Britain would have recognized the CSA as an independent nation.
Slavery would have eventually ended, mainly due to pressure from Britain.

Yeah the nations would be in two. Apparently the South had a plan to annex the central American nations to create a southern empire.
As you said, we would’ve had two countries that may never have gotten back together. They would been too preoccupied with each other to expand much further west, in which case some other power (probably the British) would have filled the vacuum. We probably would not be the superpower that we are today.
We’d probably be about as progressive as Uganda right now I’d guess. Or maybe Serbia.
Good question. I believe that the south would still have slavery, and live in the 18th century. All the neoCons would move to the south and they would have some kind of Dictatorship as their gov’t.

mind you most of the "inbred" comments are coming from people who live on the west coast and think larry the cable guy is southern. XD more than likely- we would’ve split in two. the first thought that came to my mind was that the NRA would’ve shot the oil company owners years ago, and made farming a major thing in every state- and they would’ve legalized moonshine, and made twinkies a native dish.and lowered the drinking, smoking, and driving ages.XD
but seriously, guys, stop the negative southern comments. not all of the south is like that- even though they even joke about it- someof us take it offensively. and I come from ALL coasts.
I wouln’t be in the Army in the stationed in N.C or G.A or have went to Basic, Inf AIT or airborne school in the Army. Hell, I work probably be working as a slave right now! Screw that dream…I things just the way they are. And I know history well. Its my major.
The White House would have a tin roof, and would be propped on wheels with several types hound dogs in the front yard. The presidential limo would be a full size p/u truck with a gun rack.
