Newly licensed Indiana attorney wondering how to set rates for family law?

I was recently licensed to practice law in Indiana. I want to practice family Buy Generic pharmacy law primarily. I know that I cannot, as a new attorney, charge the same fees as a seasoned attorney, but I don’t even know how to go about setting my fees. Any help????
Wel, one way is to find out what your competition is charging. If you can surrvive by cahrging lower rates is one way. You can also advertise and also; do a really good job and be recommended form your clients.

Call an attorney you know and ask him to join you for lunch. Then, ask him how he sets his fees and whether or not it would be appropriate for you to charge the same rate.
I would contact your local county bar and your state bar and discuss rates with them. (In Chicago we have more resources for this I imagine, and maybe you could also talk to the Chicago Bar for ideas even though your market is different.) Another method is to look at the rates charged by larger firms in your area – but only look to the rates of their new associates to get an idea of where the base is. Hope these ideas help you.
