In San Francisco family court, if you have an attorney, are you a allowed to speak?

or does your attorney do all the talking? Also, is family court private, or are there alot of people in there waiting drugs without prescription for their hearing?
Generally, the attorney does all the talking — the court usually only wants to hear one person per side speaking.
There will be times when you can make statements or answer questions — but those are determined by the judge, and by the procedural rules of the court.
yes you can speak, although your attorney might advise you not to.
not sure, but I believe only people participating in the case will be there.
your attorney should be able to put you at ease, that is part of their job to set your expectations about what will happen. Don’t be shy about asking.
