Unless you have a complicated case (previous arrest records, etc), you really don’t need a lawyer to apply for self sponsorship for PR to Canada. It’s pretty straight forward.

Why do you need a lawyer?
Everyone can do the process themselves – saves a lot of money.
The only reason you would need a lawyer is for a criminal record or an activist background.
Rehabilitation can take a few years before you can apply for immigration.
I would recommend try ing out sites like the one below. They have a fairly large list of attorneys as well as reviews. Good luck!
