how does one go about obtaining power of attorney for a family member’s finances?

my husband will be taking over my disabled brother’s finances Buy Generic Drugs Without Prescription soon, and we were advised that he should obtain power of attorney( for finances only). my brother is agreeable. what steps must be taken to obtain this status?
Just contact a lawyer and they will have your husband and brother sign some papers giving your husband power of attorney.
Brother must sign and notarize a suitable document, describing what powers are granted, and for what duration of time. A chat with an attorney would be justified.
