“The most important thing, whether you need to hire an attorney or whether you want to do it right it is so important to relate to someone that knows what they’re doing because what happens it takes maybe several months before you get an interview date, whether it’s for a — we’re talking still family-based petitions — whether it’s for a green card — another word, permanent residency — or whether it’s for a US citizenship, once you reach that interview several months later, maybe a year later they’re trying to expedite the procedure, but it is so hard to go there and say, “”Oh, guess what? I have to deny you because you did not follow the right requisite require the requirements.”" Isn’t it so much better, because as you well all know, immigration the Department of Homeland Security they have such a tremendous overload. They’re not going to be most likely — I’m assuming most likely, and I’ve seen it firsthand — they’re not going to review your file completely prior to the interview date, OK? They will look at your file, of course, but they have to ask you the questions, and the questions going to come at the time of that interview. And your passport verification, whatever documents you have to verify, it’s going to be at the time of the interview. So why not do it right the first time rather than go back and have to wait years because what’s going to happen with all the Department of Homeland Security, with all the different departments and everything like that …
